I've noticed that people only get like this whenever the truth to some extent comes out. Look, I've always been ready to bust someone out on the fact that they whine like little b1tches whenever somebody beats them in a game, or when someone goes on a racist tirade in Halo 3 because someone got the drop on them...these are the people who shouldn't deserve to play games. I'd leave the cosplayers and fanfiction poeple alone, though, they're just being creative and expessing it, not necessaril...
*sigh*, obviously nobody learned a lesson from the first pile of Sh!t movie. It was fairly well cast, but I've seen better acting from a dead rat. And now, this one looks like it will have the budget, just no substance behind the characters, and probably a abhorrent story that's going to send the SF fans into a flaming sh!tstorm of uncontrolled rage.
I can only hope that they release this the same day as the Dragonball movie, so not only can we see articles comparing the two ...

Jack Thompson is a giant asshole. I work with a kid that was ON CAMPUS at NIU when that happened, with his wife in another class. I can't even begin to imagine how frightened he was to find out if his wife was okay or not. He was visibly shaken when he got to work later that night.

Dude, I seriously hope you weren't directing that at me, because the only point I was trying to make is that if there are ever any gaming laws passed, WoW would be a big, if not the sole, reason for it...I'm not in any way advocating game laws, I think they're ridiculous political posturing and more than likely nothing will come of it.

I don't know, man. WoW is a type of phenomenom that society hasn't had to deal with, but now that it's starting to affect people's schooling, jobs, and relationships, I have a feeling that we'll have a LOT to blame WoW for in the coming years, mainly in the form of gaming legislation.

Yeah, a guy I used to work with lost his job because of that game...hence "used to work with". Not to mention his girlfriend of 7 years left him because he couldn't pull his fat ass away from that game, and trust me, he wasn't anywhere NEAR getting a girl like her EVER again.
The game is what CAUSED the addiction. Remember the guy from korea who died after a 3-day-long stint of WoW? I'm not saying the game is necessarily at fault, and for the most part the person who lacks self-control is at fault...but something deep in my head is starting to smell a MASSIVE class-action lawsuit.

I've been saying this for like a year. I will never ever buy a used 360. You never know if it's even been banned by XBL, because when they ban you, they ban your name AND console Serial Number, and trust me, nothing would piss me off more than if I dropped $300 on a used premium, only to get it home and tell me I'm SOL when I sign up for Live.
I agree completely, I love playing Gears as much as the next guy, but I MUCH prefer playing Warhawk and resistance on PSN over ANY game on XBL for that exact reason
